What Are ALL Those Books?
As you may or may not know, Tree of Life is primarily a non-profit publishing venture. We are involved in other activities as well, but books are our main focus. (I thought about being creative and saying "blood that flows through our veins" then thought that blood doesn't flow through a tree...then thought that all this thinking was leading me to an uncomfortable close pairing with the word "sap". :) I thought it was best to leave things alone.) :)
ANYWAY... To find out what books Tree of Life has published so far, see our "sidebar" (the right column on this page...scroll down to see all the books). You'll also see there some of the upcoming projects we would like to tackle. Not all of our titles (currently published and on the wish list) are there yet, but I will be adding them regularly.

In case you weren't aware, here's a short list of all the different things that have to be paid for in order to publish a book:
- Copyright and foreign translation rights / royalty fees (this is for, obviously, translation projects of already published materials)
- Translation
- Editing (this is not a one time process. For a professionally produced book there are many stages of editing that need to be done.)
- Cover design (when necessary if it is either an orginal book, as one of our first Tree of Life projects The Wide Gate was, or if the non-Russian language edition of the book had an outdated or not culturally appropriate cover).
- Printing and distribution
- Numerous secretarial / bookkeeping hours needed to keep account of books.
